50 Cent’s has achieved success as a businessman partly due to his knack for always surrounding himself with the right people, and one of his former associates has provided further proof of this.
On Sunday (September 17), the 48-year-old rapper took to Instagram to share a TikTok clip from 2021 posted by entrepreneur and rapper Jesse Itzer. In the video, he talked about his past with Fif when they were both still on the rise.

“50 Cent was my intern,” he explained. “I have this kid who’s a boxer who wants to be a rapper, but he wants to get some business experience. So we made a deal that he would intern for me for whatever experience I could give him, and in exchange, he would help me write these jingles that I was doing at the time.”
The two eventually went their separate paths, with the G-Unit mogul blowing up in music and Itzer starting his own private jet company. Years later, they crossed paths when 50 happened to fly on Marquis Jet.

He continued: “I had the pilot write a note, saying, ’50, you’re never gonna believe this. This is Jesse from the jingle company and you’re on one of my airplanes.’ And the next day, he wrote into all of his contracts that he would only fly with Marquis Jet.”
The Queens MC confirmed the above story, writing: “This is [100 emoji] percent true Jessie is my guy, I think he owns the Atlanta Hawks now I gotta catch up with him. #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi”
Below the post, Itzer commented: Those were incredible years. Loved watching your whole journey. Thanks so much for sharing this. Part 2 of this was when I bumped into you 20 years later in the airport and I was like ‘no way he remembers me’ and you bear hugged me right away.”
Speaking of old friendships, 50 Cent and Eminem proved that their long-running alliance remains alive and well when they shared the stage at the former’s Final Lap Tour stop in Detroit, Michigan over the weekend.
Fiddy headlined the Pine Knob Music Theatre, and it was only right that he brought out his close friend and hometown hero, Marshall Mathers, as a surprise guest.

Walking out on stage to a roar of excitement from the crowd roughly halfway through the show, Em performed his vigorous verse on 50’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ track, “Patiently Waiting,” before the rap veterans uncorked their 2009 hit, “Crack a Bottle.”
Before departing the stage, Eminem showed love to 50 Cent while saying a few words to the Motor City audience.

“Detroit, make some noise for one of the best friends that I’ve ever known, 50 Cent!” he said. “And also, make some noise for Hip Hop’s 50th birthday, y’all … Detroit, I love y’all, man.”
Fif later shared a video of the moment on Instagram and reciprocated the love.
“Bro when I do anything with EM people just go crazy they know he really my boy,” he wrote in the caption. “I love him till death!”
