50 Cent is heading to New Orleans. Curtis Jackson has joined Robert Deniro in New Orleans, a new Drama/Thriller set for release in 2008.
New Orleans is currently in production. Reportedly, 50 plays Deniro’s partner. The two cops are looking for clues as to who killed Deniro’s old partner, who allegedly died during Hurricane Katrina.
50 has already been attached to a variety of films including Get Rich or Die Tryin’, Home of the Brave, and the upcoming The Dance and The Ski Mask Way.

American Gangster is currently in post-production. It is reportedly a film, set in the 1970’s, which follows drug lord Frank Lucas, who smuggles drugs inside of coffins bringing fallen soldiers home from Vietnam. Based on Lucas’ life, the film also details how he later becomes an informant.
The film stars Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, Cuba Gooding Jr. and fellow Hip-Hop representatives RZA and T.I.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters November 2, 2007.
