Atlanta rapper 21 Savage has stepped up to cover the funeral costs for 3-year-old T’Rhigi Diggs who was killed in a drive-by shooting on Easter Sunday (April 1).
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Diggs was shot in the chest as his mother drove past a gas station on Atlanta’s Bouldercrest Road. The shooting is currently being investigated by DeKalb County police.
Roshonda Craig, Diggs’ father, is a family friend of Savage’s and was reportedly touched by the ATL rapper’s generous offer.
In a recent Twitter post, WSB-TV reporter Tyisha Fernandes wrote Savage “grew up with the family & didn’t want them to worry about money at a time like this.”
The toddler’s funeral takes place on Saturday (April 7) at Israel Baptist Church in the Kirkwood neighborhood.
The ISSA artist announced the 21 Savage Bank Account Campaign to help educate the youth about financial literacy last month.[apple_news_ad type=”any”]
Salute!!!
Way to come thru in that family’s hour of grief…
Not a fan of the music, but utmost respect for anyone who takes care of their people when they’re hurting n in need…the music gets put aside when you see someone step up to the plate like that, it gives 21 savage a different light for me. SALUTE TO THE REAL
That’s a dope gesture but are we gonna skip the fact that the child’s father’s name is Roshonda???
So he’ll do this today but go right back to rapping about shooting, killing and drugs tomorrow. You blacks are so ass-backwards.
Ass backwards would be not knowing rap music is entertainment, not a guide to life. Recognize the good in this dumb Fuck!!
Yet you listen to music by these black people and same reason why you here on this site. Guess is a black who shot up a school and Vegas and all that mass bullshit. Violence is violence speak against it black or white you idiot.
Sounds like someone got a guilty conscience. I think the cops should investigate 21 Savage connections to the event that lead into the funeral of a child.
Yeah it’s a good thing to do but also double standard because st the same time he is glorifying the very culture that this little baby lost his life because of. That’s a fact and the evidence is in black and white through his lyrics.
Good perspective. It’s encouraging to see conscious and objective comments
