The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards got underway at the Los Angeles Staples Center on Sunday night (January 26). While there was undoubtedly a cloud hanging over the arena in the wake of Kobe Bryant’s shocking death, the show went on as scheduled.
Nipsey Hussle has won a posthumous Grammy Award in the Best Rap Performance category for “Racks In The Middle” featuring Roddy Ricch and Hit-Boy. It marks the slain rapper’s first gilded trophy.
The honor was accepted by several members of his family, including his grandmother who thanked the crowd for âshowing all the loveâ for her grandson âthat I have felt for him all of his life and will always live in my heart, so thank you.”
Elsewhere, 21 Savage and J. Cole picked up an award in the Best Rap Song category for their collaborative single “A Lot,” while Tyler, The Creator took home the award in the Best Rap Album category for IGOR.Â
The winner’s list for the 2020 Grammy Awards will be updated as the night progresses. Check back soon for the latest.

The nominations for the 62nd annual Grammy Awards are in. Leading the charge is Lizzo with eight nominations in all major categories, including Record of the Year (“Truth Hurts”), Album of the Year (Cuz I Love You) and Song of the Year (“Truth Hurts”).
The 31-year-old artist, who is currently overseas on tour, reacted via Twitter.
“THIS HAS BEEN AN INCREDIBLE YEAR FOR MUSIC,” she wrote. “AND IM JUST SO THANKFUL TO EVEN BE PART OF IT.”
Trailing right behind her are Lil Nas X and pop singer Billie Eilish with six nominations, as well as pop princess Ariana Grande and H.E.R. who nabbed five each.
Noticeably absent from the list are Rapsody and Freddie Gibbs, whose albums EVE and Bandana (respectively) both earned a coveted 5.0 rating from HipHopDX.
Rap Album of the Year nominees do include Dreamville’s Revenge of the Dreamers III, Meek Mill’s Championships, 21 Savage’s I Am > I Was, Tyler, The Creator’s IGOR and YBN Cordae’s The Lost Boy.Â
The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards air on January 26, 2020 with host Alicia Keys.

Super wack. YBN Cordae nominated for a Grammy for best rap album?? I can probably list about 32424234 albums better. Who’s nominating these crazies?
May be better albums, but not many. First listen to (no not skim through) the shit, then comment, its solide
Solid equals grammy now? Geez …
you should start contacting your fav 50 yr old rapper and tell him to submit his album and maybe it would of been nominated
Lizzo leading the Buffet Table more likely lol
No Fat Chicks
Lizzo is leading in a year where people are getting killed over fried chicken…. just think about that….
None of those albums should get a Grammy let alone be nominated. What a shower of shite the Grammys are.
Yeah, I think .Paak’s Ventura deserves it though. It was really enjoyable album.
Fat is the new sexy…Next year ugly will be the new hot and the hairy will be the new trend…hey…. finally…. Wendy Williams can be accepted as the horse-faced drug addict she is and happily go back to smoking crack.
Rap album of da yr goes 2 Meek Mill. Album was dope. Another one is J Cole’s comp too. Datz wassup but who YBN whateva???? Who dat????
Listen lost boy and the comment. So much better than that silly milly vanilly hiphop
YBN Cordea is one of the very few rappers under 30 with actual skills. Jay Z, Nas, Pusha T and Dr. Dre have saluted him in the past year. He does not mumble; therefore, you never heard of him.
This is the year of the Fat Nasty Bitch…..Stand Up…. Lizzo…Wendy Williams,Half of The Atlanta Housewives…be proud.
Rap is wack! May you rest in peace HipHop!
Ay Jay Deez Nutts in yo mouth ain’t wack U BITCH U FOH. YAY YAY!!
Your use of the English is atrocious. Go back to your turnip patch, you shit-heeled rube.
That’s kinda homo Victor….not that anything is wrong with that.
She look like she bout to eat the last chicken wing on earth lol
Bet her blood type is gravy lol
The Grammys always over do their nominations. Itâs like one person is the chosen one that cycle and they bombard them with praise. Right now promoting obese angry women is the agenda. The people in the media will do anything to insult god, because they k ow gluttony is a sin!
Crafty better double down! Fat Lizzo is gonna be hanging there for a long minute. Shoot, she might even accept her award by the craft services area. They better set up cameras there just to be safe lol.
the rap album of the year nominees aren’t bad but how they left off Gibbs and Madlib is fucked up.
No Bandana? Ok foh
It wasn’t commercially successful. Idk how many years of people complaining it will take for people to understand the grammys main qualification is commercial success. They recognize those who create good business.
Fat
Unoriginal
I feel bad for her toilet… just imagine the punishment that poor thing has to endure. It truly deserves the away over her fat ass
Weakest best rap album nominees in a while, Tyler the Creator should win easily.
Grammy sucks. And wtf that fat girl? Damn look at her tummy, shiiiiiiit.
Biggest snub IMO for AOTY is Denzel Curry’s ZUU. Bandana is a hella dope record as expected. Eve definitely deserves recognition… but ZUU ain’t even being mentioned by anyone why tf is that??
J COLE should just get two this year ..
Truth hurts that she can’t even wipe her fat ass.
Truth hurts that you prolly can’t get your head out of your ass.
Why does evey picture of Lizzo look like she’s about to take a shit?
Why does evey picture of Lizzo look like she was a dump of shit?
There’s a lot going on around in rap music, but most of interesting artists are not major labels so obviously, cannot be nominated.
On the other hand Marlon Craft’s “Funhouse Mirror” is somehow supported by Sony. Interscope’s Earthgang was also worth of consideration. But OK, it does not matter, as it is what it is. Considering how mediocre (Tyler is fine, but far from his best) on average nominated albums are I would go with The Lost Boy from YBN Cordae. His album is really dope and combine mainstream requirements with ambitions and valuable pieces of good rap. Hopefully it won’t become his RNP đ
This has turned into the MTV Music Awards, not the Grammy’s. As Marlon Brando would say, “The horror…the horror.”
The best album of the year is âBandanaâ
However, what would you expect from the Grammys??
Just be glad that Nipsey, Pusha, Jay Rock, Common and The Roots have been nominated over the past few years despite low record sales and absolutely no radio/video airplay.
Jay Rocks Redemption was by far his worst album ever. 99059 is very nice, and Follow Me Home is a perfect Westcoast gangster rap album… But redemption? That was a straight up sellout pop rap album, selling out to make pop singles. Very disappointing for Jay Rock.
I repeat, y’all snubbed Danny Brown, so you are in the same boat as the grammies. dont delete dis!!! Combat is going down in hip-hop history
Wheres the Metal nominations?
What in the fuck are these rap nominations, all those songs are trash
Whoever paid or offered the most in return. Politics as usual
Really? So you listened to all those songs, even the albums, to say theyâre trash. You secretly like them.
Nipsey won cause he died. Tokenistic and pathetic.
Fuck the Grammys. Give it to nip not that heâs passed for the ratings. But passed him up for Cardi B. Lol always doing it ratings. Thatâs why no one watches or cares for that bullshit show.
No shittttttt. Ppl are gonna talk crap about the grammys every year for the next 50 lol. We all agree. That goes for all typical Hollywood trash. We the people are sick of Hollywood in general. We prefer underground!
Then donât watch it or talk about it. Plain and simple.
Cardi won the metoo Grammy
NF The Search deserves a Grammy.
No it doesnât.
the entire best rap nominee list was trash. Next year the list is gonna be between every “Lil” rapper with colored hair.
Sorry that Wu Tang and MF Doom werenât nominated.
Championships was amazing. GTFOH
Fuck the GrammyâS Kobe died.
The morbidly obese black woman wins Grammy, who is surprised?
this has to be the worst grammys i have known. no shit diddy, he was on to something with this one. billie elish? the rap/hip hop nominations? michelle Obama?! over the beastie boys?! next year just boycott the damn thing.
Stop acting surprised that your favorite didn’t win. It’s the Grammys. It’s for them. Also, why y’all hate fat people so much lol?
And still the Grammyâs will still be called racist. Just cause your favorite artist didnât win doesnât make it racist. Canât have it both ways.
Congrats! to the great one! DJ Khaled!!!
Your a clown if you think these award shows are legitimate. I don’t listen to radio trash. I just listened to that “A Lot” song. That’s the worst shit I’ve ever heard. That’s the type of shit a 7th grader would write in English class and think he’s smart. Makes sense though. The music they celebrate at the Grammys is for teens and adults that listen to whatever’s popular so they can pretend their still teens.
Damn why all ya’ll so salty? And why do ya’ll hate fat people so much?
I will say again, worst grammys ever. billie irish took away four grammys⊠that is just ridiculous. skin is so white for all the skin fetish lovers just watch the music videos of this chick my god.
