The first track, “Real Big” from the album, “The Mind Of Mannie Fresh has been banging on urban radio. This is Mannie’s first solo album released on Cash Money/Universal Records in the US on November 9th.

“Real Big,” has garnered spins on radio stations in Miami, New Orleans, Atlanta, Charlotte, Memphis, Detroit, Nashville and Chicago. Mannie is credited with developing the New Orleans sound that put Cash Money Records on the map and now he presents a new taste directly from the corridors of his beat drenched mind.

After his Gold selling album “Big Money Heavy Weight” with Big Tymers partner Brian “Baby” Williams and the platinum success of “Hood Rich,” the Big Tymers first dropped vocals on BG‘s underground classic, “It’s All On You Vol. 2.” Their style embodied that “we the shit” outspokenness of Southern Hip Hop B.C. (Before Crunk). Soon, the Big Tymers went on to create the now classic, “How You Love That Vol.1 (1998)”, then they inked a deal with Universal Records for “How You Love That Vol. 2 (1998)”.

Soon, the Big Tymers with Fresh on the boards had the Platinum hit sellers, “I Got That Work (2000)” and “Hood Rich (2002)”. In 2003 they came back again with their currently charted album, “Big Money Heavyweight”.

Mannie is now highly recognized in Hip Hop for helping to defining the sound of Cash Money and it’s artist roster since 1991. He has been responsible for the production on club bangers like “Ha,” “Cash Money Is An Army,” “Bling Bling,” “Back That Azz Up,” “#1 Stunna,” “Get Your Roll On,” “Oh Yeah,” and the Grammy nominated “Still Fly.”

On or shall we say “in” the album “The Mind Of Mannie Fresh”, Mannie finally gets the opportunity to unleash his unparalleled talent… in this album Fresh displays the growth of his engineering skills and MC style. He doesn’t just push the envelope…he manages to re-define his patented style and has developed an uncomparable mixture of Hip Hop, Funk and Southern club bounce.

Not only did Mannie develop and engineer his own album…but, at the same time he produced tracks for Lil Wayne‘s fourth solo album, “The Carter” which features the smash single “Go DJ”, and R&B songstress Teena Marie‘s Cash Money debut release “La Dona” for Cash Money Classics.

Mannie found time in his busy schedule to sit down and relax (for a minute) and talk about his new album and the future of the new Cash Money Records.
