VannDa and Vanthan put a festive, modern spin to courtship in their latest collaborative single, “កម្លោះស្រុកខ្មែរ,” which translates to ‘Cambodian gentleman.’

The song is part of a series of releases from Cambodian label Baramey Production to celebrate Cambodian New Year, which marks the traditional solar new year, that takes place on April 14 through 16 this year. Labelmates Polarix, Sophia Kao, Lauren Mam, and Sou Siryka also contributed to the special Cambodian New Year-themed tracks.

Written and produced by VannDa and Vanthan, “កម្លោះស្រុកខ្មែរ” sees the duo make the case for being a proper, modern-day gentleman, filled with Cambodian references—and in true Vanthan style, incorporated with traditional Khmer instruments.
