RuthKo honors his roots and his home country in his latest drill track, “Stay The Same.”

This is the first single of the year from the Cambodian rapper who had a busy 2022 releasing music and collaborating mainly with Phnom Penh-based DJ Chee as well as his KlapYaHandz labelmates in the 7-minute Khmer and English-language cypher from last year.

RuthKo vows that he stays grounded despite a nearly two-decade rap career that began when he was first discovered by founder Sok Visal when he was still studying in France. He raps in the chorus, “I don’t change / Cause of fame / Still fuck with the gang / Never change / Forget who I am.”
