South Korea’s SMMT marks his debut with his first producer EP, Mr. Hollywood. The EP was released today (August 31) via H1GHR Music. In a press statement, Mr. Hollywood is described as an “homage to SMMT’s musical inspirations growing up”, bringing together elements of retro hip hop and house music in the record.

“I tried to recreate the old sounds into modern beats to create a timeless product with no expiration date,” shares the producer. Mr. Hollywood features a star-studded roster of features, including BIG Naughty, pH-1, Moon Sujin, Sik-K, Loco, and more.

SMMT also finally released “BLOCK + prob·lem·at·ic”, a fan-favorite track that was only exclusively on YouTube until today. “The track represents a thank you, to the fans and to Sik-K, who has always been SMMT’s side as an advisor, peer and friend,” the label shared in a press release.

SMMT is a prominent name in South Korea’s DJ nightclub and music production scene as a sought-after DJ-producer. He finally joined H1GHR Music in 2017 with fellow YELOWSMOB hip hop crew members Sik-K and GroovyRoom, producing tracks on the critically acclaimed H1GHR: RED TAPE and H1GHR: BLUE TAPE.
