Singapore, are you ready?

The first ever live edition of the ASEAN Music Showcase (AMS) happens on September 10-11 at the Haw Par Villa, Singapore. The showcase features a stellar, multi-genre lineup of rising acts all across the Southeast Asian region.

As next weekend quickly approaches, HipHopDX Asia lined up five acts that audiences definitely don’t want to miss at this year’s showcase.

VannDa

Cambodian hip hop star VannDa marks his return at AMS this year, after a stellar debut performance in last year’s installment of the showcase. His live performances are marked by his explosive personality, not afraid to do what he needs to do to get the crowd pumped up. VannDa is sure to highlight Cambodian culture with his music at his set next weekend.

Kiyo

Don’t let the long hair and laid back personality fool you, the Philippines’ Kiyo knows how to hype up his crowd with his discography of hits. Fresh off his latest HARANASA: shineboi tour in the Philippines, this rapper is geared up and ready to perform for an ASEAN audience. Kiyo’s live performances are characterized by high energy jumps and getting up close and personal with the crowd.

OG Bobby

Thailand is coming in hot with rapper OG Bobby, who collaborated with fellow AMS performer VannDa on the Cambodian rapper’s first track featuring an international artist earlier this year. OG Bobby’s larger-than-life personality and energy makes him a great artist to watch on the big stage.

Indonesian rapper Basboi is ready to bring his melodic tracks to the Haw Par Villa stage. He’s not afraid to engage with his crowd, getting audiences hyped up as they talk back to him.
