VannDa’s SKULL 2 is almost upon us!
The Cambodian rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer shares his latest single, “រសជាតិយ៉ាងម៉េច?” (How’s It Taste?) off his upcoming sophomore album, SKULL 2. The single highlights the singer’s raw emotions as he laments the failings of a romantic relationship.
On “រសជាតិយ៉ាងម៉េច?” he mournfully sings, “អារម្មណ៍បងវិលវល់ ដូចរាវម្ជុលនៅបាតសមុទ្រ” (I feel lost like I’m searching for a needle in the bottom of the ocean). Veering away from his past rap-heavy singles, VannDa shows off his vocal chops in the R&B and electro-inspired single.

Meanwhile, VannDa harkens back to R&B videos from the early aughts, with the accompanying visual for “រសជាតិយ៉ាងម៉េច?” shows him kneeling in the rain. The new single marks the artist’s latest experimental and more textured style following “Parenthesis,” one-half of his double-single release from last month.
VannDa Kicks Off 2022 With Jazzy New Single ‘Solo Again’
VannDa’s SKULL 2 album was announced last March with its first single “Bok Kalo” and the record’s first half was initially slated for release in May. Following this announcement, the artist unveiled his historic cross-cultural collaboration with Thailand’s F.HERO, 1MILL, and SPRITE in “Run The Town’ in April. Last May, the multihyphenate artist also premiered twin singles “Parenthesis” and “Life Is A Game,” along with a documentary series announcement that chronicles the making of the record.

The single also follows a series of other solo and collaborative tracks released by the artist this year, including his first single of the year “Solo Again,”“Khmer Blood” which premiered on his birthday in January, and “Make No Sense” with fellow Baramey Production artists Polarix.
