Def Jam Philippines brings together hip hop pioneers and musical icons across Southeast Asia in its second Rekognize EP,Rhapsodicity 2.
Originally made up of Filipino artists, Rekognize was a collaborative project that marked its first release simultaneously with the launch of Def Jam Philippines. The inaugural project featured Mike Swift, Alisson Shore, kiyo, Mark Beats, and the late D-Coy.

Def Jam Philippines Officially Launches With 'Rekognize' Series
The five-track Rhapsodicity 2 will premiere one track every Tuesday of March, with each song bearing a different theme. The star-studded artist lineup brings together a cross-regional partnership across Southeast Asian artists, including Thirdflo, MSTRYO, Toney Chrome, SCYE, Daddy A, Dash Calzado, Steven Peregrina, Mark Beats, Zaki Kijah, Medmessiah, Banong Bagsek, MISTA, Rudic, Konflick, Fateeha, A-BURGS, Illest Morena, Zae, Tiffany Lhei, Kaycee, Bebe Riz, Jazze, 7 Shots of Wisdom, Southeast Cartel, Kristyles, Pino G., Joe Flizzow, Dandee, Emmet, Pop Shuvit, Lean Ansing, Chi Evora, Reg Rubio, Daboyway, Ian Tayao, Jamir Garcia, and D-Coy.
The first track, “Lakbay” (Journey) is set to premiere tomorrow, March 1. Its last and focus track is an homage to fellow artist Jamir Garcia, by Southeast Asian supergroup Project E.A.R., entitled “Fade To Black.”
