Filipino-Australian singer Ylona Garcia has officially joined 88rising’s first localized label, PARADISE RISING. The American music collective welcomed Garcia via an announcement on social media on February 26.

Garcia first made her debut at 88rising’s “Double Happiness Winter Festival” online show in December 2020, where she performed an “angelic” rendition of her song, “Spilt Milk,” and a cover of Ariana Grande’s “Winter Things.”

PARADISE RISING was launched in July 2020 in partnership between 88rising and local telecommunications company, Globe. The platform aims to “establish a presence for Filipino artists in the West and globally through music distribution, music rights management, and artists development,” according to a press release.
