Filipino rapper OJ RIVER is back with latest solo track, “Mainit” (“Hot”) his follow-up to last month’s “Walang Problema” (“No Problem”).

The Bawal Clan member raps in Tagalog about literal and figurative heat: whether it’s the warm Philippine weather, his temper, his coffee, flashy “hot” cars, or being tagged as “hot,” as in an attractive kind of way or as a fugitive.

This is his first stream of solo releases since 2020’s “Talampunay.” During the same year, Bawal Clan also dropped Ligtas (“Saved”), their collaborative album with another Filipino hip hop group, Owfuck. They released the first official visuals for the album, the blood-soaked music video for “LaPain,” back in March.
