Sometimes Hip Hop can move at a pace too frantic for even the most devoted fan to keep up with. Albums and mixtapes are released at breakneck speed, careers are made and broken with the swipe of a pen, and somewhere in between all the madness actual music (the quality of which vacillates between excellent and god awful) is being made. Twitter provides a nice summary of everything 140 characters at a time. And if you’re the type that would rather not be bothered with stepping into the Twitterverse to catch up on the latest in Hip Hop, we’ve filtered through the top rapper’s tweets and consolidated all the week’s events into one convenient feed.

This week, Joe Budden apologizes for racist posts, El-P knows what’s best for your body and no one seems to be getting Nick Cannon’s jokes . Check the rest of the week’s top tweets below.

Joe Budden & The Tweet He Can’t Delete

What happens on Twitter, stays on Twitter, especially racism. Joe Budden took a picture of an older man wearing a turban in an airport security line and used the caption, “Not on my watch Homeboy!” The picture, which has since been deleted, was uploaded on Instagram but we all know a screenshot is forever. That’s exactly what user @FatehDOE did and he continued to point out the wrong in the post. Budden eventually apologized with a series of tweets that can be read, here.

Lil Wayne’s April Fool’s Trick

It all just happened too fast. In one tweet (less than 140 characters), Weezy told us he’s retiring but the joke didn’t have enough pause to it, it went straight to “April f**kin foolz!” Regardless of the poor execution, it’s always a treat when Lil Wayne tweets since it’s on rare occasion that he does.

Bun B Can Speak “Un Poquito” Spanish

Bun B flossed a little bit of bilingual skills when asked on Twitter if he spoke Spanish. He retweeted and replied with “un poquito,” letting the world know he knows a little bit of language. This shouldn’t be surprising because (fun fact!) Latinos make up more than 40% of Houston, Texas, according to the U.S. Census.

One And Only Action Bronson

Let it be clear, Action Bronson is a trendsetter. The dancing fat guy with a beard trend began when Bronson showed us how nimble he is on his feet in his music videos. If there’s one thing about Bronson, it’s that he’s unapologetic. He carries himself with unwavering confidence and 100% of the time we end up laughing with him and not at him. Action Bronson will also be on stage at Hot 97’s Summer Jam on June 1st.
