According to a familiar cliché, a picture is worth a thousand words. Your favorite celebrities—including rappers—are doing less and less press, but uckily their thumbs and smartphones still work. Instagram has provided a way for them to document their lives and/or thoroughly embarrass themselves for our collective enjoyment. The beauty of it all is that you don’t even need to join Instagram, as most rappers are perfectly fine leaving their feeds open for public viewing. And if you’d rather avoid the IG life altogether, we’ve filtered through the top rapper’s pictures and videos and consolidated all the week’s events into one convenient feed.

This week, Kanye West and his fiancée are on the cover of a magazine, Meek Mill remembers a fallen friend and Drake drinks Guinness in Ireland. Check the rest of the week’s top Instagram posts below.

Erykah Badu Joins Rick Ross At Fader Fort During SXSW

For two artists who are seemingly on opposite sides of the spectrum, “Ricky Rozay” and “Fat Bella Bella” have an interesting rapport. The pair collaborated on Ross’ “Maybach Music III” (with Badu providing the hook and a bridge), with Ross returning the favor by remixing Badu’s “Window Seat.” They resumed their chemistry in Austin last Sunday as Badu joined Ross for a cameo on the aforementioned “Maybach Music III.” For those who didn’t feel like braving the Austin heat and crowds, the ever-present Def Jam cameras captured the moment for immortalization on Instagram. You can also catch a video of the performance here.

Meek Mill Remembers The Late Lil Snupe

One of 2013’s most tragic stories—Hip Hop or otherwise—was the murder of 18-year-old rapper and Meek Mill protégé Lil Snupe. On June 26, 2013, 36-year-old Tony Holden turned himself in to Louisiana Police after being accused of shooting Snupe almost a week prior. Meek often pays tribute to his teenage signee, but Sunday’s post indicated the two men will continued to be linked, as Meek Mill posted a picture of them together during happier times. Meek captioned the picture, “#realhitta4life,” and over 84,000 people seemed to agree.

No shots, but technically one of Game’s initial forays with fame came via the dating game show Change of Heart. In a display of how history has a way of repeating itself, Game’s offspring are apparently hitting the dating scene early (sans television cameras and a live studio audience). Sunday, Game posted an Instagram flick of his sons Harlem and Justice getting ready for play dates with their crushes—two young ladies respectively named Amanda and Laila. Game more or less summed up the situation with the hashtag in his caption: “#LikeFatherLikeSons.”

Kanye West And Kim Kardashian Cover Vogue Magazine

Kanye West’s fiancée Kim Kardashian was stuck in a stupor when she tweeted, “This is such a dream come true!!! Thank you @VogueMagazine for this cover! O M GGGGGG!!! I can’t even breath!” Rightfully so, she just saw her face on the cover of Vogue magazine’s April 2014 issue. Kanye kept it much more chill, tweeting, “#TRILL Thank you @voguemagazine.” It’s not every day that a rapper and his first lady land on the cover of a highly coveted “fashion bible,” especially headlined with a hashtag (#WORLDSMOSTALKEDABOUTCOUPLE). On another note, the Vogue cover behind-the-scenes footage sort of looked like an alternative video for “Bound 2.” Perhaps we were getting trolled all along.

Drake is smart. He wears green on St. Patrick’s Day so he won’t get pinched. He was also in Dublin, Ireland on St. Patrick’s Day and probably thought it was too fun of an idea to pass up going to a bar in the city while wearing a green tourist-like t-shirt and a green-and-white bandana around his head. It’s also safe to assume that he scheduled his world tour so that he could be in Ireland for the Irish holiday. That’s one off Drake’s bucket list. According to the Irish Independent, the rapper drank pints of Guinness with his friends. If you’re wondering if they celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Canada, yes, yes they do.

In our review of YG’s My Krazy Life, DX called the project, “a solid major label debut.” His fans seem to agree.

Kanye West And Andre 3000 For Throwback Thursday

Throwback Thursday is a special day/event of the week, in which anyone can share a dated picture along with its accompanying story. In honor of reminiscing-on-a-picture day, Def Jam shared of snapshot of College Dropout Kanye West posing with Andre 3000. The picture is simple with West wearing his then staple polo (collar popped) and Jesus piece around this neck and Andre throwing up the peace sign while wearing a straw hat on his head. That’s a lot of talent captured through a lens, even though, the world may not have known it at the time the picture was shot.
