BIO

Most people know Young Buck as the Nashville-bred former G-Unit emcee who's been put through the ringer, both by life and 50 Cent. However, Young Buck is more than his affiliations. He has been doing his thing long before he ever met 50 Cent.

Young Buck’s first taste of the limelight came in 1997 when he joined Cash Money Records. He left Cash Money in 2000 for Juvenile’s UTP. He’d released two albums with UTP, “Born to Thug,” and “The Compilation.” Young Buck would jump to G-Unit Records in 2003.

He appeared on G-Unit’s Beg for Mercy in 2003 and his G-Unit debut, Straight Outta Cashville, was led by three singles: “Let Me In,” “Shorty Wanna Ride” and “Look at Me Now.”

The album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified Platinum by the RIAA. Young Buck was featured on the track "You Already Know" from the soundtrack to 2005’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ film and his sophomore album, “Buck the World,” was released in 2007. Young Buck was expelled from G-Unit by 50 Cent the following year, but Young Buck would remain contractually signed to G-Unit Records as a solo artist.
