BIO

Memphis, TN rap star Yo Gotti kicked off his music career in 1996, and worked his way through the streets up until the release of his breakthrough album Back 2 Da Basics in 2006. His breakthrough happened in 2012, with the release of his album Live From 

Da Kitchen, who’s leading single was “5 Star” which reached 79 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2013, Yo Gotti and CMG signed a deal with Epic Records, and shortly after Yo Gotti released his prominent album I Am, which is now certified gold. In 2016, Yo Gotti followed up with standard and deluxe versions of his album The Art of Hustle, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. Right after he released his mixtape Gotti Made-It (prod. by Mike Will Made It), and the mixtape’s lead single, “Rake It Up” ft. Nicki Minaj, peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single was later included in his 2017 album release, I Still Am, and his next album Untrapped was released in 2020, which peaked in the top 10 on Billboard 200.
