BIO

The Weeknd began his recording career in 2009 by anonymously releasing music on YouTube.I n 2012, The Weeknd signed with Republic Records in a joint venture with his own company, imprint XO, now known as XO Records. Initially co-signed by Drake, The Weeknd is now also one of few Canadian artists to have made a smooth transition into the American music industry. Thanks to popular singles and features like “Earned It,” “Crew Love” featuring Drake, “Blinding Lights,” and more, The Weeknd continues to be a fixture on the music charts.
