Hip Hop Playboi Carti

Atlanta rapper (and part time rockstar) Playboi Carti began his official rap career by releasing tracks on Soundcloud – proudly being part of a new wave of artists where rap, rock and gothic influences all converge. Carti signed with Awful Records in 2014 and moved from Georgia to NYC where he became acquainted with the A$AP Mob and his mentor A$AP Rocky. Playboi Carti broke through with his hit single “Broke Boi” in 2015 and took off from there. After touring with A$AP Mob and Lil Uzi Vert he signed a deal with AWGE x Interscope Records in 2016. In 2018 he released his debut album, Die Lit, which peaked at No. 3 on the US Billboard 200. In 2020 Carti released his second studio album, Whole Lotta Red, which peaked at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 – and is now certified gold.
