Hip Hop NLE Choppa

NLE Choppa hails from Memphis, Tennessee and released his first song, “No Love Anthem,” in 2018 under a previous moniker, YNR Choppa. His debut mixtape, No Love the Takeover, arrived in July of the same year.  

Riding an ascending wave of popularity, Choppa released “Shotta Flow” in 2019. The single would reach as high as number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100. A  remix to the platinum certified single featuring Blueface was released shortly thereafter.  

NLE Choppa would release “Dreams” featuring Birdman and Juvenile in March 2019 and a Lil Wayne tribute, “The Blocc Is Hot,” in May of that year.  

“Free YoungBoy,” the first release from his own No Love Entertainment imprint in June 2019,  was a show of support for YoungBoy Never Broke Again, who was fighting legal issues at the time. The label was launched with support from Warner Records. 

In 2020, NLE Choppa’s long awaited studio album debut Top Shotta was released. It included the single “Shotta Flow 5,” and “Narrow Road,” featuring Lil Baby.

The From Dark to Light mixtape was released on November 1, 2020 in celebration of his birthday. NLE Choppa dropped his third mixtape, Me Vs. Me, in January of 2022. It included the sixth installment of his “Shotta Flow” series, “Shotta Flow 6,” as well as “Walk Em Down 2,” featuring Lil Durk.
