BIO

Chicago-based MC/poet Mick Jenkins has gained a reputation for his socially conscious, intelligent lyrics and smooth delivery, along with  his blend of jazz, soul and Hip-Hop influences. His diverse talent first got noticed during the early 2010s with several mixtapes, then broke through with 2014's The Water[s]. Collaborating with artists like Noname, Kaytranada, and BadBadNotGood, he released Waves (2015) and The Healing Component (2016), his official debut album to critical acclaim. Also, Jenkins dropped several EPs and the full-length Pieces of a Man (2018) and The Elephant in the Room (2021) as evidence that he is a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
