Hip Hop Gillie Da Kid

Gillie Da Kid is the co-founder of Major Figgas, a seven member crew that was very popular on the underground circuit for some time. 

They released the full-length album FIggas 4 Life independently. However, this showcased their abilities enough for RuffNation Records/Warner Bros to sign them. An expanded version of the album was released in June of 2000. It reached 29 on the R&B Singles chart. 

The group signed with Suave House Records out of Houston, Texas. However, GIllie Da Kid ventured off on a solo career when the label lost its distribution deal with Universal Records. 

Gillie would later sign with Cash Money Records when the label was at the pinnacle of its acclaim, but he didn’t release any albums while with the label. Instead, he would remain on the underground circuit while continuing to ghostwrite for Lil Wayne.

Gillie Da Kid would release three independent albums Validation,  Notorious K.I.D. Gillie da Kids’ Buzzworthy Mixtape and Truth Hurts all in 2007.  He continued the following year with King of Philly in 2008 and the following year with I Am Philly in 2009, then Million Dollars' Worth of Game in 2017.

He currently hosts and produces the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast with his partner Wallo.
