HIP HOP Bobby Shmurda

Famous New York City born rapper Bobby Shmurda is one of the pioneers of Brooklyn Drill Music. In 2014, Bobby released his debut hit single “Hot Boy AKA Hot Nigga” and it’s Bobby’s biggest song to-date. Lil Kim, French Montana, Jay-Z and more even hopped on their own remixes. “Hot Boy AKA Hot Nigga” peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. The remix was prominent, featuring Rowdy Rebel, Chris Brown, Fabolous, Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes, and Yo Gotti. Bobby Shmurda was also known for releasing his following single “Bobby Bitch” which peaked at No. 92 on the Billboard Hot 100. His debut EP Shmurda She Wrote was released in Nov. 2014. Bobby Shmurda’s journey was shortened when he was convicted of one count of third-degree conspiracy and one count of weapons possession. Released from prison in Feb. 2021, Bobby Shmurda has since been pushing his most recent single “Shmoney” ft. Rowdy Rebel and Quavo.
