HIPHOPDX Rod Wave

Petersburg, Florida-born singer, songwriter and producer Rod Wave began his music career in 2016 with his debut mixtape Hunger Games Vol. 1. Gaining a solid and organic audience, he released several other mixtapes prior to signing to Alamo Records, which is when his career took off. In 2019 he released his mixtape PTSD, which contained his viral breakthrough single “Heart On Ice” which is now 3x platinum. His debut album Ghetto Gospel was released in that same year, peaking at No. 10 on the US Billboard 200. His 2020 album Pray 4 Love, which included his single “Rags 2 Riches,” peaked at No. 2 and is now 2x platinum. His third studio album, Soul Fly, debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200.
