    1. the industry has blackballed all the real niggas and wont let them

just look at all the people on top right now

makes me sad to be a hip hop fan

    2. what real niggas do? i used to think it was a such thing as real niggas. that was back in college. being real is being real with yourself. and that means whatever you feel makes you comfortable with you, be that. i don’t like the name of the song, but the sound is ok.

The first male artist from the west coast that Russell ever signed Def Jam was Mel-low from Compton, CA. Mel-low’s first Def Jam single BLAZE IT UP feat Redman would become the first Def Jam video ever to get banned from being played on both BET and MTV.

Did you know that the BLAZE IT UP video also has a short clip of Orlando Anderson aka “Baby Lane” of the South Side Crips in Compton, CA? Orlando Anderson has been linked as the murderer of Tupac. You can see Orlando in the BLAZE IT UP video at min 1:48 – 1:51. In the video Orlando is squatting down in the middle of the dice game wearing a stripe shirt, holding a fist full of money while singing the hook. The night of Tupac’s murder, Orlando is the person that can be seen on security video getting beat up in the casino by Suge Knight, Tupac and several other guys. Orlando Anderson was killed in Compton in a gang shootout a few years after Tupac was murdered.

Mel-low’s first Def Jam single BLAZE IT UP feat Redman would become the first Def Jam video ever to get banned from being played on both BET and MTV. Def Jam spent big money on each Mel-low video. Russell Simmons was excited to have signed Mel-low and had major big plans him. Unfortunately right when it was time to put out Mel-low’s debut album “It’s a B.G. THANG” Def Jam ended up going through serious merger with another company. This merger resulted in Mel-low’s album coming out on a much smaller label. Google Mel-low’s album and listen to his track and you’ll see what all the hype was about. Make sure you listen to the tracks “No Love” and “Lord Have Mercy”!!!!!!!!
