The Atmosphere Going To Change

Minneapolis, Minnesota, not exactly your hotbed of hip hop. But that hasn’t kept one of hip hop’s most talented emcees from shinning. Slug and his DJ, Ant, comprise Atmosphere and they are back for their third LP. 1998 saw them release “Overcast!” which gained Slug a cult-like following with his ultra-abstract tortured soul rhymes. Last year they released the best album not named “The Cold Vein.”

June 11th will see the release of “Godlovesugly,” which has been headed by the incredible single “Modern Man’s Hustle.” The 18 track album will be released by Rhymesayers Entertainment and distributed by Fat Beats. Atmosphere will be at Fat Beats in New York and Los Angeles on June 11th and 13th respectively. For more information on shows, check out rhymesayers.com.
