A number of my hip hop heroes, Cannibal Ox and Aesop Rock, are going on a small 7-show tour on the west coast. Joining them are Sleep and Onry Ozzborn. The tour starts January 19th in Seattle, and in case you are still fronting on them, “The Cold Vein” and “Labor Days” were the best albums of the year, recognize.
Daz Dillinger, Scarface and Too $hort have apparently formed group called Dopedealers, Pimps & Gangstaz. Word is they have already recorded 11 songs for their album due out 2003.
Eve is headed for the silver screen, she will appear along side Vin Diesel in a flick called “XXX.” And no it not a porn…

Former Lost Boyz front man, Mr Cheeks has formed his own label called “One Fam Music.” He is co-owner with Stephan Marley, whose younger brother is said to be doing an album with Mr Cheeks in the near future. While I’m on the subject, what happened to Mr Cheeks’ solo album? After years of fans pleading for it, he finally drops one and I don’t think I have heard any mention of it, good or bad. Sure, I got it the week it came out but I still haven’t listened to it, I think it is about 45th on my list of CD’s that I haven’t listened yet…
