News On Tha Liks and Defari

Tha Liks, Defari and Living Legends rolled through Toronto on the “X.O. Straight, No Chaser Tour,” and I was fortunate enough to attend the show. The show as a whole was incredible, the Living Legends crew really set it off with a long set and they were followed up by Defari. He really ripped it which was especially impressive considering that he was by himself. He performed some songs that will appear on his new album, “Odds & Evens.” They sounded pretty dope and I’m pretty sure that one was an Evidence track. He also did a bunch of tracks from “Focused Daily,” which was dope. I got the chance to talk to Defari after the show and he told me that his new LP should be out by the end of the summer on Xzibit’s “Open Bar” imprint.

Tha Liks were of course the last to perform and they did not disappoint their fans. They put on a real hype show that included a lot of old material from “21 & Over” and “Coast II Coast.” They did their trademark of soaking the crowd with beer (which I got right in my eyes) and bringing girls up on stage to dance. After the show, Tha Liks and Defari came back out to the stage and signed autographs. I talked to Tash and asked him about the chances of another solo album and he said we would see another and one from J-Ro as well. Be sure to check out this show if it comes to your area, you will not be disappointed.
