Coming out of Kentucky, not many hometown rappers are known to make it in the rap game. Twenty four year old Rob Jackson plans to change the way we look at rappers. Newly signed to Arista Records, Rob has been receiving massive radio and video airplay with his first single, “Boom, Boom, Boom”, from his debut album “The Rob Report”. With the help of a classmate from college, Rob got the attention of ex-Naughty By Nature member Kay Gee through one of his many demo tapes. Since their intial meeting they have been working non-stop in the studio to bring Rob’s dream to light.
“My album is full of some stuff I feel the people need to hear”, Rob said. “I’m not using it as an opportunity to tell you what I got or don’t got, it’s not about that for me. I don’t knock that, but I feel I got a platform, I got a deal. I got the attention of America and as a whole, we gotta say a little bit more than that”. Look out for “The Rob Report” in stores August 20th.
