Rick Ross Talks Business, Calls Debut a “Classic”

    Rick Ross has been making himself known in the Miami area. The rapper has been busy working on a new album Port of Miami, a new crew, some remixes and even thinking about joining an established southern collective.

    Ross is currently climbing the charts with his new track Hustlin’, which has a remix with Jay Z and Young Jeezy.

    Speaking of which, Jeezy gained his start in the industry as part of Boyz in the Hood. Recently rumors flew about Ross being a new member of the crew, in order to replace Jeezy who exited to concentrate on his solo career.

    The rumor seemed to lose steam, but now Ross told MTV it may actually go down.

    “At the time Block and Diddy presented it to me, I wasn’t sure yet. I wanted to focus on my debut, Port of Miami, which is due August 1. And I got my group Carol City Cartel, which I’m getting ready to establish. But it’s looking like it may come together. We gotta sit down and chop it up,” he explained.

    He also went on to talk about his new album, which contains many guest stars.With high expectations to create a class, he’s poised for a grand entrance into the mainstream Hip-Hop world.
