p>Last week in NYC was the jump for the latest NBA installment
from 2K Sports; NBA 2K7. The larger than life Shaquille
O’Neal hosted the charity basketball tournament which featured Dan the Automator, Phife from A Tribe Called
Quest, Channing Frye, Choir Boy, Nate Robinson, Quincy Douby (Kings), Marcus Williams, and Quentin Richardson
In the first round Nate,
Choir Boy, Marcus and Phife all
moved on to the semi-finals. The final was all set to be Nate and Marcus but Mr. Williams had to dip so Q. Rich took his place and ending up
taking down the little man for the W. Shortly afterwards Rhymefest teamed up with Dan
the Automator for a one-time-only performance of Bang The Ball featured on the soundtrack to the game.
HipHopDX was at
the event, which was also attended by the likes of Mos Def, Sadat X, Ali Shaheed Mohammed, Jarobi, Consequence, Lake,
Thirstin Howl III, DJ Vlad, Mad Linx, and Clinton Sparks.
