In what has to be one of the
craziest relationships in hip hop history, the brief “truce” between Eminem and
ex-wife Kim Mathers has come to an end after only one day.
The day before, Em and Kim
had agreed to not continue public criticisms for the sake of their daughter
Hailie. However, Kim spoke about Em negatively in an
interview on New
York’s Hot 97 radio station
during Miss Jones’ morning show.
The decision to have this interview
is in stark contrast from what the former couple agreed upon on Monday, March
26th. There, Em and Kim stated that continuing to
slander each other could have harmful effects on their daughter.
Despite this, Kim had several
words for her ex-husband: “How many songs has he done about
me?…How many
interviews has he done where he’s talking about freedom of speech? … I do a
couple of interviews and he’s crying like a little girl.”
Kim has indeed been the subject of many
of Eminem’s songs. Eminem kills or has killed Kim in two
of his songs – “’97 Bonnie and Clyde”
and “Kim.” He also mentions her in a negative fashion in songs such as “Puke”
and “Soldier.”
Although there is no word from Em’s
camp, it is very likely he will continue his legal action to prevent Kim
from any more slanderous comments.
