Remy Martin is no longer with the Terror Squad. The Bronx rapper got
her wish after requesting to be released from the label due to business
reasons.
Remy is most known for the verses she spit on Fat Joe’s “Lean Back”. But shortly after the release of her much anticipated disc, There’s Something about Remy, she became unhappy with her record
label.
“I felt that I had out grown them I had been dealing with Joe and Steve
since I was 18 years old,” Remy Ma told AllHipHop. “We no longer
had the same goals. They’re used to me being ‘little’ Remy who wanted
all the fly sneakers, a nice whip and the biggest chain you ever saw on
a girl.”
Remy Ma is not letting her label woes stop her from working on her second LP “Punish-Her”. She is expected to drop the first single “Fresh” this spring.
“I’m sitting in meetings all day, everyday politicking my own label,
with me being my first artist,” Remy Ma revealed. “I have so many other
projects involving films, TV and endorsements, but most important is my
album.”
