Slip-N-Slide Records, the label the houses female emcee Trina, announced yesterday (Sept. 26) that the rapper’s newest single has been stolen from the studio.
The single, entitled “Single Again,” is believed to have been stolen from a computer hard drive, and distributed via a mass email on the Internet. It is unclear as to who leaked the track.
“This mishap is extremely unfortunate [and the]
official ‘Single Again‘ track featuring Trina by herself will be
re-released the proper way by the end of the week,” said Slip-N-Slide CEO Ted Lucas. “I am thankful that nothing else was taken from the
computer; I guess we can look at this as a bizarre experience and move
forward with upcoming Trina’s project.”
According to XXL, Trina was reportedly “in shock.” The rapper’s new album Da Baddest Chick Pt. 2: Reloaded is due out in February 2008.
