Cam’ron Claims He Can’t Be Friends With Jim Jones Again

Cam’ron has claimed that it would be very difficult for him and Jim Jones to become friends again.

The two former Dipset rappers have spent much of the last fifteen years going tit for tat and exchanged diss tracks and public insults.

Speaking on the Roc Solid podcast, Cam addressed the nature of his relationship with his former friend.

He said: “Look, I always wish Jim the best. I hope he does well. He came a long way.”

Killa Cam continued: “This is my man who couldn’t rap that turned into my hype man that turned into an artist, directing videos. So his hustle is impeccable. We put out our first mixtape, 2001. The album came out in 2003. 2001 to, let’s say, we broke up 2007, 2008… A six, seven-year run. Our first reunion after we broke up was in 2010. If we can’t get it together now…”

He also expressed that it would be unlikely they could build bridges: “The reunions and arguments and fighting, it’s been 15 years. The run was only seven years. We got 15 years of disputes longer than the run. I’m never going to say never. But at the end of the day, the disputes, it’s 15 years old, and the run was seven years old. I don’t know if it can ever go right, you know? He got records dissing me earlier this year. I don’t really pay it no mind, people send it to me. But he put a song out called ‘Frienemies’ in [2009]. 17 years of diss records towards me. I don’t give a fuck.”

Jones himself had previously stated that it was unlikely they would be able to repair their relationship given the constant back and forth.

He said to Ebro earlier this year: “Nah, it’s definitely no brotherhood. The brotherhood been over damn near since [The Diplomats]. That was where the brotherhood was at.”

Jones added: “Not right now. Not something I could foresee, but who knows. Right now it’s about me. I ain’t got time to focus on nothing else and no one else.”

Jones had also challenged Cam’ron to a boxing match with a $10 million prize.
