Fashion Line Hoodman Clothing Donates To Obama Campaign

Weeks after Duck Down RecordsKidz in the Hall made a campaign song on behalf of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, another Hip Hop entity has stepped to the plate.

New York-based Hoodman Clothing has endorsed Barack Obama for over a year, with their highly-successful Chicago Bulls-themed and Eric B. & Rakim-inspired Barack Obama campaign shirts. Now, Hoodman CEO Edwyn Huang has agreed to donate $8 to the Obama campaign with each purchase made through his website of www.hoodman.tv.

Of the promotion, Huang said, “Everyone
here at Hoodman believes in Obama and what he stands for and for the
first time in our lives we feel there is politician that is giving it
to us straight. He connects with people and his approach is very hands
on and personal; we relate to that.

Obama, who won the Iowa primary last week, has cited Hip Hop as in influence, mentioning ’90s musician/writer/activist Sister Souljah in his memoir Audacity of Hope.
