While many rappers and Hip Hop artists including Talib Kweli, Questlove, Will.i.am, Jin, Common, Champ, John Legend and others have been vocal about their endorsements for Senetor Barack Obama, few Hip Hop acts, aside from Lupe Fiasco, have publicly endorsed Senator Hillary Clinton. Well, that changed recently when 50 Cent added his two cents on the matter.
Fif recently went on to say that Senator Hillary Clinton would be his choice.
“I just think she could do a good job,” he told Fox News. “There’s nothin’ bad about Obama in my eyes, either but I just think Hillary…that would be my choice.”
Before the interview ended, Fif stopped the reporter and added one last comment.
“I’m not sure if America’s ready to have a black president. Maybe, they might kill him.”

Shiko Mawatu is a talented artist that represents Congo. With powerful dance music and politically conscience lyrics, Shiko talks to an audience that is all his own. A percentage of the sales from his new album, Kimbanda Nzila, will go toward the Biamba Marie Mutombo Hospital from the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation (DMF) and help with the construction of new, water wells for the people in the Congo. This is Shiko’s first album after many years of collaborating with other artists. His album is coming out at a difficult time because since 1996 Congo has been going through many struggles. Shiko Mawatu has been nominated for the 39th Image Awards for his new album. During these difficult times in Congo, Shiko said that he wanted to uplift spirits.
The Congo is among countries that have gone through fierce wars in African history. An eight-year war hasn’t ended properly despite an election that took place in 2007. The country is still suffering from extreme violence and little is known about it. DMF has acquired the song “Afrique” recorded by Shiko as the official song for the foundations website. You can support Mawatu by visiting his website at www.Shikomawatu.com and you can also visit Dikembe Mutombo Foundation and drop a couple of donations at www.DMF.org
