Danity Kane’s Aubrey Shuts Down The Rumor Mill

Danity Kane may be having success with the Making the Band
series, a popular reality television program about the group, but that
has not stopped rumors from spreading about a break up, a feud and a
possible romantic connection between label head P. Diddy and group member Aubrey O’Day. Recently, O’Day spoke on the rumors, love, sex, and her feelings about the future of Danity Kane, adding fuel to feud fires by saying she doesn’t need anyone, including her current boss, Diddy, to make her hot.

In an interview with Complex, O’Day spoke on a variety of issues, including the public perception of who she is.

“I think urban guys look at me and are like, “Here’s the white girl I’m gonna fuck,” she told the magazine. Later, she went on to explain how she is usually greeted by some men. “So
this nasty guy came up to me and says, “Come here. I’m the man, haven’t
you heard?” And I said, “Well, I’m the woman, haven’t you heard?” And
he was like—this is the third thing out of his mouth—’Well, I have a
hotel here, so when are you going to come by to my room?’…It was so
embarrassing and corny. I was disgusted. It’s funny that they think
they can talk to me like that, like it’s so easy. ‘There’s that ho from
Danity Kane, let me get her off tonight.’”

She went further with the subject, adding that she is “okay” with
being called a “whore” for the rest of her life. When asked if she
feels responsible, at least in part, for the perception people have of
her, she said she did not feel she built that reputation on her own,
but rather blamed Making the Band producers for the way she is portrayed on the show.

You don’t build your persona on reality TV. They build your
persona on reality TV. I just learned to stop wanting to control it.
Hey, they need the bad girl of the group, and no one else is going to
take that role. …Out of this group of women, I am definitely the most
daring. I would be the natural pick for the badass. This is the truth
about me—I’m just really real. …I
f I have to be ridiculed
and called a whore and the party animal and the dumb girl for the rest
of my career, I’m okay with that. Because I love who I am. You’re going
to have to interpret me however you’re going to interpret me
    .”

When told that Cassie dispelled rumors of her and Diddy being together, and confronted about rumors of her romantic link with Puff, she replied, “Oh, those are rumors?”

“…It’s ridiculous. And trust me, of all the things that I’m attracted to in a man, Diddy is none of those things. I run my career, I don’t depend on anyone else to make me hot.”

Following this, she was also asked about tension in the group, due to negative feelings towards her.

I can answer that question this way: I am very dedicated to Danity Kane,
and nothing I can ever do will conflict with my respect, love, and
dedication to that project. So, on my end, there will never be any
issues. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I can speak for myself.”

She also added that the group is tied down for another five albums, at least. However, she said it may not get to that point.

In a perfect world, that’s what appears to be the case. But, as we all know, this world is not perfect.”

Finally, showing no regrets about her part in Making the Band, she noted that it has catapulted her to where she is today.

Since I was three years old, I wanted to be starring in a
musical on Broadway. And now I am. Was it worth it? Yes, because today
I am living the thing I’ve always dreamed of doing
    .”

In the interview, O’Day goes on to talk about anal sex, her love of interracial porn, and her period. So far, there is no word from Diddy or Bad Boy regarding the interview.
