According to a report published in the New York Daily News, Rhianna has gone forward with a celebration of her birthday. The report also claims Chris Brown has tried to get back with Rhianna and added more on what they refer to as an inside story from a source close to the singer.
“Chris called Rhianna to wish her a happy
birthday,” the source told the news paper. “He’s
absolutely trying to get back into her good graces. He knows he’s
very much in the doghouse right now, and is doing everything he can to
show her how sorry he is.”
Aside from a phone call, The Daily News also claims Brown sent a slew of gifts to his former girlfriend, including an iPod Touch along with a diamond necklace and bracelet. It also adds that Brown’s mother sent a bouquet of flowers to the young star.
The party went on without Brown, as Rhianna put together a casino-themed party with a few close friends.
“Her theme was ‘Blackjack 21’ and all the guests gambled,” the source told the paper. “And although there was alcohol available, Rihanna
wasn’t drinking.”
“She hasn’t scarred or anything. She was in a great mood. She was
really celebrating not just her birthday, but life in general.”
Although it is unclear as to how Rhianna was recently injured in what police are referring to a domestic dispute, many have speculated that Chris Brown
was responsible for the attacks, something that has not been confirmed
or denied by either camp. The alleged assault took place on Grammy night and has been a highly scrutinized topic since the event allegedly took place.
In related news, Harvey Levin of TMZ has defended the posting of Rhianna‘s photo after being attacked, despite facing heavy criticism.
On an appearance for Fox News’ “On the Record,” he spoke out on why he released
the picture.
“It is a photograph of Rihanna that was taken shortly after the alleged
beating a couple of weeks ago. We, obviously, believed at the time,
convincingly, that it was Rihanna and put it up on the site. … I’m
not saying anything bad at all about the LAPD. I mean, what they needed
to do, they felt, was conduct an internal-affairs investigation because
they felt there was a leak. In so doing … they did authenticate the
picture,” he told the host.
“Chris Brown is not going to just say, ‘I’m going to lie
down on this one and not fight. I guarantee you that Chris Brown is going to mount
a defense in this case. I know that. He will mount a defense in this
case. So, the picture is not the be-all and the end-all, as far as he’s
concerned. … But what it does do is it puts a face on what both sides
really have been kind of leaking out over the last couple of weeks. …

And frankly, Greta, I think it’s pretty horrifying.”
