Rick Ross [click to read] and his crew The Triple C’s will now be drinking 1800 Tequilla’s Select Silver, a 100 proof clear tequila. They are now officially endorsing the brand.
“Rick Ross & Triple C’s were an obvious choice for us,” Elwyn Gladstone, Head of Marketing for Proximo said via statement. “1800 Select Silver is a serious tequila for the serious tequila drinker. It’s making a huge splash in the tequila market right now, just as Rick Ross is shaking up the music industry.”
Ross added that he is proud to put his name behind this brand.
“Of all the tequilas out there, the 100 proof 1800 Select Silver is the ‘big boss’ and the only tequila I would put the Rick Ross name behind. 1800 Tequila is a brand I’m really excited to grind and build with, and as I keep pumping out the hits, topping the charts, and discovering new talent like my crew Triple C’s – 1800 Tequila will be rising to the top with me.”
In other news, Twitter followers may have been fooled into thinking they were following celebrities at times. Impersonators found it easy to act as artists, but many celebrities became irate with this. Kanye West showed his anger with the company in May.
“The heads of Twitter knew I didn’t have a Twitter and they have to know which accounts have high activity on them,” he said through his blog. “Why would I use Twitter? I only blog five percent of what I’m up to in the first place… Everything that Twitter offers I need less of.”
Head of Twitter, Biz Stone, understood.
“Impersonation violates Twitter’s Terms of Service and we take the issue seriously. We suspend, delete, or transfer control of accounts known to be impersonation.”
Expect an account authentification system to begin soon, as Twitter is currently facing a lawsuit from Major League Baseball’s St. Louis Cardinals’ manager Tony LaRussa [click here].
Speaking of lawsuits, Cam’Ron [click to read] and Sisqo are both being sued by the NY law firm of Pryor Cashman, according to TMZ [click here]. The report says the two are being sued for not paying bills on trademark work the firm helped them with in the last five years.
According to the report, Cam owes the firm more than $40,000 while Sisqo owes close to $20,000.
