Juicy J Gives Project Pat His Flowers Ahead Of Joint Album: ‘He Don’t Get The Shine He Deserve’

Juicy J of Three 6 Mafia has all the flowers for his longtime collaborator (and older brother), Project Pat, ahead of the pair’s joint album, THEM GOATS.

Taking to X on Tuesday (August 13), Juicy had high praise for Pat, saying he doesn’t get enough credit in the game.

“I’m sitting hear listening to me & @ProjectPatHcp album THEM GOATS mane,” he wrote. “don’t yall know Pat is the greatest he don’t get the shine he deserve but we all love his flow & the good person he is for helping out the jail inmates find god.”

No release date has been set for the effort, but Juicy previously promised it would arrive some time in 2024.

In 2023, Juicy J revealed that he had multiple projects on the way in the coming year.

“I got about 7 albums I’m dropping 2024 I never worked this hard in my life,” he wrote on X. “after this I’m gonna buy a house on the beach let my hair grow all the way out & become a full time hippie ya dig?”

The Memphis legend seems to have been inspired to take matters into his own hands after he expressed concerns about the current state of rap music, saying that he wants to bring his peers together and talk strategy.

In October, he took to Instagram with a P.S.A. in which he discussed what he called Hip Hop’s “40 percent decline” in 2023 and what could be done to bounce back from it.

“I know a lot of people don’t want to hear this but I’m being real,” he began. “Rap music is down 40 percent this year. I’ma say it again. Rap music is down 40 percent. Check the charts, check the math.

“I don’t make the rules. I do not make the rules. It’s down 40 percent. What are we as rappers, producers, composers, etc, gonna do about this shit? ‘Cause it’s down 40 percent this year. Check the charts! Do your research. This is a fact.”

“Let’s have a conversation!” Juicy continued. “What are we gonna do? As rappers, producers, composers, songwriters, engineers – what are we gon’ do, man? Rap is down 40 percent, man. We gotta figure some shit out. We gotta sit down and talk. Let’s have a meeting. Let’s meet up somewhere … Let’s talk about this shit, how we can turn this shit around.

“Because this is how we eat … Rappers – we make money off rap, shows, publishing. Aight? This is how we make money. This is how we eat. This is how we take care of our families. It’s down fucking 40 percent, n-gga. Real shit. But I’m willing and I hope you willing to figure out something to keep this muthafuckin’ money train running.”

    1. 8Ball & MJG don’t get awards or anything and they have skills and great messages in their music. But I find it funny on the name of the group 3-6 and the guy say something about God. I’m not a critic but that’s backwards.
