DX News Bits: Dipset, Sugarhill Gang

In a video interview Harlem rapper Cam’ron revealed that Dipset, the Hip Hop group he founded along with rapper Jim Jones, is officially over.

“The only thing that bothers me is when niggas be like, ‘Oh, so you can be down with Dipset? They gonna put you back down?’ How can you put somebody back down for something that they own,”
asked Cam’ron in an interview with WorldStarHipHop. “Keepin’ it a hundred, Dipset is Dipset but Dipset is over. They gotta get over it.”

For years now there has been a divide between Cam’ron and other members of Dipset, but in 2007 Jim Jones hinted at the group possibly joining forces again.

In other Hip Hop news, The Sugarhill Gang’s Wonder Mike and Master Gee have begun their lawsuit against the son of their former manager Sylvia Robinson.

According to the NY Post the two artists are currently seeking over $6 million dollars in claims.
