B.o.B And Playboy Tre Talk Writing With T.I.

T.I. has been keeping a relatively low profile since being released from an Arkansas Prison in December of 2009. Producer Jim Jonsin revealed that Tip quickly hit the studio to begin work on a new, as yet untitled album. Grand Hustle/Atlantic signee B.o.B confirmed the story, which was originally reported by Rap-Up.com, adding that listeners can expect more material from them in some capacity.

“Yeah, I’ve talked to Tip,” B.o.B revealed during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. “He seems like he’s real focused now that he’s out, and it’s like he’s got something to prove. We worked on some stuff for my album and some stuff for his album. We came up with a banger–might I add that. I’m excited to see what he’s gonna do, and I’m excited to see what the songs we’ve made are gonna do.”.

And while B.o.B is a relative newcomer to those who haven’t been following his rise via the Web and mixtape circuit, T.I. has previously enlisted his services as well as those of fellow Decatur native Playboy Tre.

“Me and B.o.B wrote the hook to ‘Slide Show’ [then] John Legend sung it,” says Playboy Tre. “To have two artists who I have the highest amount of respect for record a song that was your concept is a great feeling.”

In the meantime, B.o.B has released his May 25th mixtape in conjunction with DJ Drama and DJ Sense. Tre is also planning to keep his name buzzing with an upcoming project entitled, Last Call.

    1. The record industry is over. The music business will live on as a “sponsor” based model. Your favorite rapper will be signed to Pepsi or Doritos type corporations who will pay for their videos (same as commercials) and eliminate distribution costs by using the very trucks that deliver their soda and chips, to deliver an artist’s cd. You will find rapper A’s cd right next to the soda (company’s product) display in your local grocery store. Whom ever is sponsored by Nike will have their cd’s delivered to Nike stores and footlockers on the very trucks which bring in the tennis shoes. The cd will be displayed right next to the sneakers. Your local supermarket will eliminate the need for record stores and major distribution. All you have to do is make a hit using all the affordable music resources to gain a sponsor’s attention. This model guarantees that only hit makers will survive. Rickevitual told you first.

      1. All bullshit aside, that might just be true in the not so distant future, that along with the downloading

    2. Remember the days when rappers werent going to any and every media outlet to tattle tale every little thing that other rappers are doing? Where’s the mystery? Maybe i dont wanna know the tracklisting and all the producers 6 months before I can cop the album.

    3. @mad55 and @fuck you
and you buy into the fact that t.i.’s not getting ghost written for? and never has?

why dont you two stans fuck eachother mad since your both clueless anyway, you wont be able to tell if your the bitch or not hahaha

eminem has ghost written for ti why wouldnt he get some other new artists to write his verses and his hooks?

recognize the truth before you go standing up for your favorite BITCH ASS NON HIP HOP ARTIST MARKET PRODUCT

    4. T.I. is the fuckin Kang. He’s the only rapper I know that every album he puts out he gets better. I bet that aint the case for your favorite rapper. T.I.’s flexible, he can spit commercial, street, club, real talk, bitches.. fast or slow, and it all sounds good. I bet that aint the case for your favorite rapper either. King of the south. I gaurantee his next album is gonna be insane. Paper trail has songs I’ll be listening to when I’m 60 years old. And the best songs on that album weren’t the singles.
“Let me tell you how you measure a man, when his world starts to fall, see how tall he stands”
      Apply that to your life.

    5. –** bla ckmilitary friends. CoooooooooooooM**– is the world’s largest and best club for both military and civilian friends. It has experienced tremendous success in bringing military personals and their admirers together these years.

    6. @rapologist
more money you earn, better ghost writers you can hire

i like t.i.,so like i mentioned previously,go do you homework “RAPOLOGIST” and realize when it comes to makin good music tip is a musical rapeologist and will fuck anybody over withoutt their consent to release hahahahahah

sorry dog,he’s not the king of the south, you must have pimp c rollin in his grave

      1. He wrote the Paper Trail CD in his house when he was on house arrest.. not everybody pulls a Dre and gets ghost writers, some actually take pride in knowing they write their own shit. Pimp C himself said that T.I. was the King, so do your research before you start yappin about “homework” when you don’t know shit. Have you talked to these ghost writers? Tell me, who has come out and said that they’ve ghost written for T.I.? Cuz if you think B.O.B. writing a hook for a song is ghost writing, then you look more like a dumbass than you already did with your original comment.

      2. And I don’t want to hear Eminem as an example either. They made a song together, it was a collective effort by both of them working together on the same song.
