Tomorrow, iTunes is expected to begin selling Game‘s single “Ain’t No Doubt About It” 
, but fans of the Compton emcee will have to wait another seven days to purchase his fourth major label album, R.E.D. Announced this past weekend, the album has moved from June 29 to July 6.
No longer sharing a release week with Diddy and Paul Wall, Game will now hit the shelves on the same planned week as Big Boi’s Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty.
UPDATE: (June 3) A spokesman for the Game announced that the anticipated release will go on to include some more recording sessions. The rapper had planned on unveiling the work to media this week, making this a last minute decision. At press time, “late summer” has become the new soft deadline.
This will pull Game away from the crowded June/early July release dates which include Eminem, Drake, Diddy, Plies, Lil Jon, Ice Cube, Paul Wall, Rhymefest and Big Boi.
UPDATE #2 (June 16): It was confirmed today that the album is expected on August 24. Inside sources revealed to DX recently that the delays were due to new tracks, several produced by DJ Toomp, who previously worked on Game’s last album, L.A.X.
R.E.D. is co-executive produced by Dr. Dre and Pharrell Williams, to be released on Aftermath/Star Trak/Interscope Records.

Y’know man I was thinking the same thing. I was looking over my copies of Doctor’s Advocate and LAX and I noticed something. The executive producers were Game and Jimmy Rosemond. Now, I don’t know about you but I think that Doctor’s Advocate was a pretty dope album. Why? Because Game had way more creative control than when he was rocking w/ Dre and 50. Now, in order to get back into Aftermath and possibly sell more records, he sold out to Dre and Pharrell. Which let’s face it: these two guys haven’t executive produced a proper album in over 5 years. So Game’s doing songs with Justin Timberlake (same as 50 did in 06 w/Curtis). Why because he wants that platinum plaque.
