With Jedi Mind Tricks, producer Stoupe is known for worldly samples, hard drums and being part of one of the more abrasive Hip Hop outfits in the game today. The Philadelphia-based Stoupe, who rarely does press or reveals his face has teamed with fellow 215 native Liz Fullerton to form the duo Dutch.
This week, Dutch has released A Bright Cold Day. The 12 track album, released on JMT’s own Enemy Soil imprint, features a Trip Hop sound akin to Portishead or U.N.K.L.E. Fullerton worked on the Tricks’ last album, 2008’s A History of Violence, reportedly where Dutch was born.

Just finished listening through this one, VERY impressed. Has a cool modernized trip-hop sound, with slices of portishead, massive attack and bjork woven in.
