Last Saturday (December 11), actress and daughter of Motown Records legend Lionel Richie, Nicole married music Joel Madden of band Good Charlotte in Los Angeles, California. The couple’s wedding ceremony was led by Hip Hop emcee icon-turned-reverend Rev Run, of Run-DMC fame.
A source close to the couple told Us Weekly, “Joel [Madden] and Nicole [Richie] have looked up to Rev. Run, so they wanted him to officiate.”
Madden has previously worked with Hip Hop artists including Bizzy Bone, Three 6 Mafia and N*E*R*D through numerous guest appearances over the years.
