Will Smith Announces “Hitch” Television Series & An Action Series

    Emcee-turned-actor and film producer Will Smith is returning to television. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native who starred in popular NBC program, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air between 1990 and 1996, has announced that he is producing two new series.

    According to Variety, Smith, who heads up Overbrook Films, will produce a television adaptation of his 2005 film, Hitch, which co-starred Kevin James and Eva Mendes. In addition, Smith will partner with China’s Eva Jin for an action series chronicling a crime-fighting college student.

    Neither show has a confirmed network at this time.

    1. Would he star in the Hitch adaptation or just produce it and hire someone else to play the lead role? This would be cool. Also, he ain’t put out a film in a minute.

    2. People hate to much, Will was a whack rapper but his movies are usually pretty good, he’s like a Black Tom Cruise to me, Over-rated actor but he always picks good roles and Films.
