Meridian, Mississippi emcee Big K.R.I.T. has yet to formally release an album, despite a handful of acclaimed free mixtapes. The DXnext alum and Def Jam Records are gearing up to release R4: The Prequel to iTunes and other digital retailers on June 7. The release will include popular songs from K.R.I.T.’s 2010 mixtape K.R.I.T. Wuz Here and March’s Returnof4eva
project.
The tracklisting to R4: The Prequel is as follows:
1. Sookie Now feat. David Banner
2. Time Machine feat. Chamillionaire
3. Country Shit Remix f. Ludacris and Bun B.
4. The Vent
5. Moon & Stars feat. Devin The Dude, Curren$y & Killa Kyleon
sookie now and time machine were my least favourites on R4. but i guess you gotta put the mainstream shit to sell. as long as krit’s doing the good shit on the mixtape it’s all good
Time machine a mainstream song are you kidding me thats one of the most real songs on r4
yea look at all you hyping about about it, it’s cleary mainstream-y. i get what time machine is about but im not really into cars. it’s not bad but other tracks on the tape, like king’s blues
lol you all think time machine is just about cars, how cute. if you actually listen to the lyrics, you’ll find that its much deeper than that. its about going back to the roots of hip hop, paying tribute to those who started it down south. it ain’t just about the car.

We Killin It – Barton Block
dude are u serious? my time machine is a classic. hearing that track was a breath of fresh air. took me back to the old geto boy days, ugk,and outkast aqemini stuff. sookie now is a dope track. moon and stars is a laid back cadillac pimpin track, classic in my opinion. krit and devin got mad chemistry on the track. country shit is dope, prolly the most commercial single on there. the vent is classic. great song.
They Need to put the song “American Rapstar” on there too, Such an Ill song.
“Dreamin” is where its at tho
I agree with that Dreamin track. That joint is something special
Time Machine commercial? Huh? Son, that shit is straight ridin muzik.
Actually if you think about it, in terms of who it features and who it will attract, the country shit remix was the most commercial track on the mixtape.
I read they’re shooting a video for it and it will probably serve as KRIT’s first “single” or formal intro to the masses. Although, if people were smart enough to like music with a meaning, songs like “as small as a giant” would be a lead single.
All in all, KRIT is a beast. He’s smart with his lyrics but he can also make music thats just fun to listen to. Those two mixtapes are conceptual, well laid out, and better than most albums. This Itunes R4 prequel is probably a test to see if people will actually buy his music and I’m hoping it sells.
Didn’t even know who this dude was 2 months ago until i heard The Song “Now Or Neva”, so i downloaded “Return Of 4eva” and i been bumpin his shit non stop ever since, this dude is no fuckin joke, Can’t wait for his LP.
These are all straight heat. Krit seems to come harder when he’s got others on his songs with him, his solo songs are still great too though
Sookie now has little replay value, borderline annoying… he probably put that one on cause Banner brought him out… The rest are straight heat… Krit is that dude though
Def Jam: get K.R.I.T. some more exposure!! All of us that have posted are already up on this dude but this dude is too talented to stay on the underground level. K.R.I.T. is one of the realest out and the masses need to know this.
Hope people support this. This dude has given us essentially two free albums better than 99% of the other shit out today.

Keep Rimming, It Tickles
this just seems like a collection of tracks from his previous stuff. everybody has their own personal favs. krit still the man and ill still get this as there is bound to be a few new tracks on it i hope. KRIT stands for king remembered in time. GET IT RIGHT FOOLS.
