Kid Capri Thinks Eminem Haters Are Mad He Does ‘Black Stuff’ Better Than Them

Kid Capri has never been one to hold his tongue, and he’s now addressed those who have a disdain for Eminem and believes they’re mad because he does “Black stuff” better than them.

During his recent appearance on Audacy’s Hip-Hop Made with host Mike Street, the NYC DJ/rapper touched on his favorite rappers and how the majority of people decide on their Top 5 MCs.

During this topic, he explained how he thinks people diminish Eminem because he’s white and that he raps better than those throwing shade at him.

“Everybody goes by the popularity of the person instead of the real skill set,” Kid Capri said. “Everybody keep going at Eminem because he’s white. You’re mad because he’s doing Black stuff better than you are. The boy is nice, you can’t take that from him.”

While on the subject of top rappers, he also called Twista “one of the best in the world.”

You can check out his interview below:

Kid Capri previously defended Eminem during an interview with HipHopDX in 2022, explaining how Lil Pump dissing Eminem inspired his latest album, The Love.

“That was just one of the things that did inspire,” he said at the time. “I got tired of seeing the younger dudes thinking that the older people ain’t capable. Like we ain’t been here building this business from the ground up from day one.

“Sometimes, it is the truth. A lot of older people, they get out of touch. They don’t want the younger people to come in and do their thing, and it be just back and forth exchange.

He added: “But when I watch Lil Pump disrespect a dude that became the Elvis of Hip Hop, this dude that sold millions and millions of records, created opportunities for so many people and is one of the greatest MCs on the planet, for him to just disrespect him like that, we losing our respect level.”

Eminem previously admitted to “stealing Black music” on “The King and I” from the Elvis soundtrack, while comparing himself to Elvis Presley.

I stole Black music, yeah true/ Perhaps used it (for what?) as a tool to combat school/ Kids came back on some bathroom shit/ Now I call a hater a bidet (why?)/ ’Cause they mad that they can’t do shit (haha),” he raps on the song.

He continues in the same verse: “Now I’m about to explain to you all the parallels/ Between Elvis and me, myself/ It seem obvious: one, he’s pale as me/ Second, we both been hailed as kings/ He used to rock the Jailhouse, and I used to rock The Shelter/ We sell like Velveeta Shells & Cheese (Woo! Let’s go!).”

    1. I think it’s more of the time we live in, If you’re doing something at a high level for a long period of time people just tend to hate you some will love and appreciate you but you will receive a lot of hate. Em situations reminds of they way people hate on Lebron. They’re both all time greats maybe even the greatest and people know it, but their personal feelings/hate won’t allow people to be honest about their level of greatness.

    2. I swear the whole ‘Eminem haters’ narrative is completely media driven. I’ve lived all over, and black people ALWAYS fucked with Eminem. That’s why damn near every top level, well respected black artists did music with him (Jay-Z, Nas, Wayne, Jadakiss, etc) He ALWAYS mentioned in anyones top-5 or top-10 list. Anytime someone mentions different they’re trying to help themselves by pandering to a white audience (Yayo, 50 cent)

      1. EMENIM IS BASICCCCCC!!!!! HE RAPPPSSS EASSSSSY LYRICSSS STOPPPP! HE IS NOTTTTTT UPPPERR ECHEOLONNNNN!!!!!! 40 YEARS OLD FROM PHILADELPHIA RIGHT NEXT TO NY UP FROM DC UP FROM BMORE!!!!!!!!!! 4. Eminem’s music is not for everyone but Em is nice he can rhyme his ass off. That’s really all he cared about it was never about sales with him he just wanted to be respected by his peers. He made a mark he created his own legacy in hip hop. His music doesn’t hit me but I respect his skill sets and what he has done for the culture.

    5. Em helps out more people than anyone else in hip hop. Has his own label, signs underground artists, has his own radio station shade 34 where he employs multiple people and promotes artists. Name someone else who did more? I’ll wait..

    6. I USED TO LIKE EM’S MUSIC BUT ONE DAY MY DAD TOUCHED ME IN WEIRD PLACES WHILE THERE WAS AN EMINEM VIDEO PLAYING ON THE TV… EVER SINCE THEN I DONT MESS WITH HIS MUSIC OR MY FATHER 🙁

    7. I hate anything Em has released the past decade or longer, but I still think his music even today shows immense skill. His old music from 1998 to 2003 or so was insane. I’m not really a fan of the old music either, but I recognize the skill. Just like I can recognize Tech N9ne is a very talented rapper, but it’s just not what I enjoy listening to. Hell, I put Nas and Em in the top 5, yet you won’t really catch me listening to either very often. Both are very skilled, but just not my style.
