Drake‘s son, Adonis, has received an exclusive care package from Puma with a rare pair of LaMelo Ball sneakers that will have him ready for his next hoop session.
The 6 God posted the clip of Adonis unboxing the Puma X LaMelo Ball MB.01 Digital Camo kicks to his Instagram Story on Monday (May 8).
An excited Adonis can be seen running to his room and losing his mind when he discovers the orange-trimmed sneakers designed by one of his favorite NBA players in the Charlotte Hornets all-star.
“Oh yeah! Let’s go,” he repeats while gazing at the kicks and running around his bedroom while mixing in some Spanish. “I got LaMelo’s!”
Drake captioned the moment with a series of laughing emojis: “This guy!”
The LaMelo Ball sneakers were a fitting gift idea for Adonis who recently drew a picture of the Charlotte Hornets point guard playing basketball with his markers, which Drake also posted to social media earlier this month.
“@Melo by Adonis,” he wrote to accompany the piece.
Drake has passed on his love of basketball to Adonis, who can’t get enough of the sport as well whether that’s pulling up with his dad to Toronto Raptors games or hitting the gym to work on his jump shot.
Last May, Drake posted a clip of Adonis playing basketball and running drills while wearing a LeBron James Lakers jersey, which caught the eye of King James, who reposted it to his own Instagram Story with a message for the five-year-old.
“My nephew really love the game,” he wrote.
Drake has a handful of weeks to spend some more quality time with Adonis before hitting the road for his stacked It’s All A Blur Tour with 21 Savage. The trek will now kick off in Memphis on June 29 and wrap up with a pair of memorable shows in Drake’s hometown of Toronto on October 5 and October 7.
